Traveling program to share the memory of elderly
Le centre imaginaire de création
The Itinerant Museum of Germaine (MiG) presents an interactive exhibition of photographic portraits, sound and displays depicted through a meeting of elderly women with the puppet Germaine.
MiG will move from town to town to promote the memories evoked by this project and to offer them to other people and in other places. This is about creating a public presence for elderly people, so they can share their memories. In 2015, 5 exhibition panels 2m by 1m were manufactured, each panel evoking the world of an elderly woman. This installation was displayed in 6 places to 850 spectators (museums, festivals, community centres, apartment entrance halls). In 2016, 7 new panels will be manufactured.
The support of the PSA Foundation will fund the travel for this project.
