Let’s do it
Les mains vertes
This not-for-profit organisation carried out a campaign in France, Holland, Belgium and Germany in September 2012 to increase public awareness of the problem of the rubbish left in the natural environment. The objective in France was to bring together 100,000 volunteers to clean up a hundred or so sites across all of France.
Les mains vertes and its volunteers drew a map showing these sites beforehand the clean-up effort began. In France, most of the litter is found along roads and paths, with a large share of it packaging thrown from cars. Electronic devices and construction waste are dumped out of sight along hiking trails, often at the edge of forests.share this project
