Labo Mobile on its rounds
Le Labo des Histoires
Every day, the Labo des Histoires (story laboratory) offers a wide variety of free writing workshops for children, adolescents and young people under the age of 25, in several regions across France and in French overseas departments/territories. Supervised by experienced professionals, these workshops cover all the fields of artistic expression in which writing plays a key role: from fiction to true-life stories, as well as song words, texts, and dialogues for cartoon strips and film scenarios. In 2016, the association welcomed 25,000 young people in its writing workshops. Winner of the award “La France s’engage” for socially committed projects, the Labo des Histoires plans to open 15 centres in mainland France and overseas departments/territories between now and mid-2017.
The Labo Mobile has established plans for four vehicle rounds in the PSA Group’s production areas. These rounds will involve local branches of the Labo des Histoires as well as local groups belonging to the Ligue de l’Enseignement, an educational body. The workshops will be organised close to industrial sites and site employees will be informed so that their children can take advantage of the activities available. A wide range of partners will be targeted as part of these rounds: public readers, schools and cultural associations, in order to reach as many people as possible. The children of site employees will not be the sole beneficiaries of these initiatives but they will be primarily concerned. Parents will be able to receive feedback on these activities.
