The project put forward to the Foundation involves duplicating a garage opened by the non-profit organization in Olliergues in 1999. It covers the predominantly rural eastern part of the Puy-de-Dôme region in central France. The startup will go ahead with the Puy-de-Dôme socially responsible transport platform, of which Détours is a founder member and current president. The new project has been under consideration by the main funders of recovery by economic activity, the socially responsible transport platform and Détours for a number of years now. The second garage, in Grand Clermont, will initially operate with three job positions staffed by four or five assistant mechanics. It will also manage the platform’s fleet of rental vehicles (scooters and cars).
Opening is scheduled for early 2017, and Foundation support involves purchase of equipment.share this project
