This non-profit organization promotes social inclusion, easing access to employment and training by providing transport assistance through the development of services for vulnerable populations: information, advice, diagnosis, individual or collective support, training, and provision (direct or via partner organizations) of means of transport.
The project funded by the Foundation involves a socially responsible garage service setup on a one-year experimental basis starting in June 2016. The panel of solutions already covered directly or cooperatively by the organization lacked a service for auto repair and prevention addressing persons out of employment. So the aim is to start up an experimental service whereby the facilities of a partner garage would be made available one day a week to address the needs of vulnerable populations. A partner garage has been found, and is prepared to assign one of its mechanics to this mission. The advantage of the scheme is that it enables the organization to offer socially responsible vehicle repair services without having to bear the usual expenses. In addition, beneficiaries of the service could be offered training while their vehicles are being repaired, on subjects such as eco-driving and road safety.share this project
