Secours Catholique – Caritas
Secours Catholique – Caritas France, a non-profit NGO member of Caritas International, was founded to combat poverty and inequality. It covers 77 countries, providing aid regardless of beneficiaries’ culture or convictions. The Solidarauto “brand”, registered by Secours Catholique in 2014, designates a Secours Catholique initiative on access to transport for the underprivileged. Two socially responsible garages have been opened under this banner so far: Solidarauto 49 in Angers (open since 2010) and Solidarauto 38 in Grenoble (open since 2013).
Secours Catholique – Caritas France wishes to expand its network of Solidarauto garages., providing training for applicants wishing to join the network, and offering specific services to cover the preliminary, opening and operating phases. It also intends to set up a quality standard to optimize operations and ensure fault-free service. The project could cover the whole of the garage operation, including customer reception and internal audits, to ensure quality service and long-term operation on a non-profit basis. This initiative, aimed at enhancing service to members, could be extended to other structures. It will draw inspiration from a similar programme run by FARE to certify the quality of its transport service platforms. Special attention will be given to environmental aspects of garage operations.
Foundation support will be contributing to the development of this network.share this project
