The Synergie non-profit organization provides socio-professional inclusion support addressing minimum-income beneficiaries and other persons in difficult situations, by running four workshops (construction, gardening, environment, and mechanics), plus consumer information, nutrition and physical activity services, a socially responsible rental service and its first socially responsible garage.
Synergie builds on an initial footing in rental services to develop other services in a region. In 2016, branches were set up in Fourmies then in Maubeuge, the aim being to rapidly open a number of socially responsible garages. Beneficiaries are referred to the garages by various bodies, and meet the manager to register. The vehicle is then inspected by a mechanic, who issues a quote. The garages only handle minor operations such as brakes, tyres, oil change and bearings. Repair work is carried out by a team of mechanics on professional inclusion projects under the supervision of an experienced mechanic. Synergie approached the Foundation for support on setup of its new garages.share this project
