In areas of low population density and a high average age, fixed or mobile rural shops are gradually disappearing. This leaves housebound people with no access to basic necessities, despite the existence of dial-a-ride services on market days in some towns and villages.
The project comprises two phases: a pre-operational study phase to quantify needs conducted by a project manager over four months, then, where applicable, a second phase for the implementation of a service to distribute basic necessities, using drivers following insertion programmes.share this project
