Dunes d’Espoir, founded by a group of friends mad about running, shares its passion with young people with disabilities. The organisation helps them to take part in official races across France and all year round, including the Paris Marathon and the Paris-Versailles event. To do so, the disabled people use single-wheeler all-terrain sedan chairs called “joélettes”.
Project sponsor Didier le Menec takes part in around 10 races a year. His role as “captain” consists in steering the joélette of the disabled child, which is accompanied by two to six athletes so that the load is evenly and effectively distribute. The proposed project is to help the organisation buy two new joélettes.share this project
