The Foundation has got off to a quick start and already supports numerous projects with a host of themes, initiated by organisations of all sizes and serving a broad range of purposes. This diversity represents a rich source of useful information for our future actions!
Since June 2011, we have been able to take the measure of the high expectations of NGOs in our central field of action: mobility. The Foundation has taken the time to better outline its scope of action, while remaining focused on the theme of mobility.
We have concentrated on four top priorities:
- mobility as a factor of integration, which accounts for slightly more than one half of our projects. The surveys and the actions of the “City on the Move” Institute over the past 10 years have already demonstrated that mobility is an essential factor of social and professional integration.mobility in favour of educational and cultural actions. In this field, we support initiatives taken by NGOs to further the cause of equal opportunities by offering improved access to education and culture for young people.
- mobility for the disabled, who need help to overcome their everyday difficulties. These projects are most often sponsored by Group employees who play an active role in the NGOs.
- and finally, mobility that protects the environment. We are trying to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable mobility, especially amongst young people.
By supporting all these generous initiatives, the Foundation aims to join forces with the project organisers in the field, in a spirit of co-construction that will establish concrete and efficient partnerships, with strong local roots.
