Creation of a socially-responsible and environmental rental centre
Régie de quartier de Bagneux
Two projects are currently being led to make day-to-day travel easier for the inhabitants of Bagneux. The aim is to relieve the isolation of people with reduced mobility and address weaknesses in the transport network.
– A fleet of electric bikes and bike-school workshops will serve to facilitate independent everyday travel through the provision of electric bikes and bike-riding lessons (city routes, safety, etc.). The service will be available for the public of the neighbourhood support organisation (“Régie de Quartier”), employees in integration programmes, local inhabitants and people referred to the initiative by partners of the neighbourhood support organisation as part of their job search. For the bike workshops, the organisation already has a number of local partner organisations, including AICV, Antony Vélo, Wimoov, Vélo École de Châtillon.
– The neighbourhood support organisation has a five-seater vehicle running on natural gas (the “Bagneule”) that it would like to use in “social transport” initiatives for isolated and vulnerable individuals and people with reduced mobility, the main aims being to help them maintain their social relations, travel to doctor’s appointments and take the train. The financial needs involved in the project are connected to communication and the IT equipment required to manage travel reservations.share this project
