Liberty, equality, mobility
With the assistance of the Foundation, the organisation is acquiring ten scooters intended for the inhabitants of Forbach as part of the creation of mobility platforms in the Lorraine coal-mining basin. The aim is to help vulnerable individuals find or remain in employment (or training) by making it easier for them to get from A to B.
The platforms function on the basis of referrals, including from the Pôle Emploi job centre, Mission Locale structures and CCAS social action centres. These entities send a liaison form to Wimoov, which makes a mobility skills review (mobility assessment). The beneficiary’s mobility needs and aptitudes are reviewed (identifying any material, financial and/or psychosocial obstacles). Wimoov then guides the beneficiaries towards an immediate or gradual solution through the following services:
– the provision of cars or scooters,
– vehicle repair via Renault’s network of socially-responsible garages,
– mobility training,
– support for passing the driving test, support for socially-responsible vehicle purchases and support in obtaining micro-credit.
The two platforms set up in 2015 are located in Saint-Avold and Forbach.
