On the road to employment
La FARE (Fédération des Associations de la Route pour l’Education)
FARE is a network-leading federation with “national competence” status created in 1988 to address issues of professional integration through mobility. As of 2012 it grouped 60 member organisations with the support of partners including DSCR, ACSé and Prévention Routière. Since 2006 it has coordinated a certification system for driving schools with not-for-profit organisation status in France. The approach is now being extended to mobility platforms.
The Mouv’Up project
The “Mouv’Up, en route pour l’emploi” (“on the road to employment”) project consists in fostering the expansion of 20 social mobility platforms across France. It will be rolled out in three phases:
- Phase 1: the launch of a call for projects addressing regional authorities and local project coordinators.
- Phase 2: the introduction of 20 mobility platforms in the shape of methodological support and training with a view to launching new community-minded mobility platforms in 20 regional areas between 2013 and 2014. The budget, covered by the Foundation, includes consulting work with local authorities followed by support in the implementation of the platform.
- Phase 3: verification of the new platform’s integration in its environment, notably through the recruitment of a mobility advisor who will form the linchpin of the platform.
