Creation of mobility workshops
Ecole de la Deuxième Chance de Marseille (E2C Marseille)
The Second Chance School (E2C) in Marseille is an organisation that harnesses education for the professional and social integration of 18-25 year-olds having dropped out of the education system for at least one year and without diplomas or qualifications. E2C has developed innovative educational practices based on individual training courses targeting autonomy.
“E2C Marseille – Mobility Project” is a pilot project.
The objective is to devise solutions that most closely meet the needs of the people concerned.
The project is organised into three phases:
- Collective mobility training: basic training, urban orientation, using public transport, using other forms of getting from A to B, making mobility an asset in job seeking, and learning how to ride a bike in the city.
- Individual reception and monitoring to support trainees in their path to independent mobility: vehicles available at socially-responsible prices, referral to mobility partners in the area and to socially-responsible garages, help in drafting micro-loan requests.
- Training by E2C Marseille professionals for the group of young beneficiaries.
