Individual transport for the elderly
Croix Rouge Unité Locale de Poissy
“Individual Accompanied Transport in Poissy” is an innovative project that aims primarily to enable elderly people with reduced mobility, or who require assistance, to get to Poissy free of charge. This is thanks to an adapted vehicle driven by Red Cross volunteer drivers (for medical consultations, rehabilitation, participation in activities, visiting parents or friends in order to maintain social connections…). The project is jointly funded with the Mayor of Poissy, co-managed by the Blue House (an entity dedicated to support elderly people, managed by the CCAS) and complements the Blue Shuttle minibus company for elderly people who are not entitled to individual support.
The PSA Foundation is supporting this project by donating a passenger transport vehicle for the implementation of this service.share this project
