Socially-responsible electric vehicle rental in peri-urban areas
Varlin pont neuf
Based in the Haute-Vienne departement, the Mob’Job structure has a fleet of two cars, five electrically-assisted bikes and 40 scooters. It is the only such structure in the departement to rent out cars and at present is able to respond to just 40% of the demand.
To strengthen its ecological and civic-minded initiatives and fulfil needs, the organisation would like to carry out a trial by acquiring two electric vehicles and installing a charging station. The organisation’s aim is to raise the awareness of ten people a year of the current requirements in terms of the economy and ecology and encourage them to commit to a responsible approach.
The project is also part of a project led by the central and regional government on the rollout of electric charging stations throughout the departement, through the signature of an agreement with the utility company ERDF.
