Allowing choice, for the respect of individual dignity
Épicerie solidaire de l'Aude
Opened in September, this social grocery is the first in this part of France. It wants to acquire a vehicle to deliver food aid to people of reduced mobility. This service does not yet exist in Carcassonne or the surrounding area. Currently, thirty people are unable to access the grocery’s services owing to a lack of mobility.
The association aims to promote the long-term integration of people in difficulty by providing contribution-based food aid and developing educational initiatives and social support for the integration or reintegration of beneficiaries with the help of the local Centre Intercommunal d’Action Sociale (welfare centre).share this project
