Fighting against exclusion
Samusocial de Paris
Samusocial de Paris, founded in 1993, works to find emergency accommodation for the homeless. It also provides homeless people with medical, social and psychological support and monitors 11,200 isolated individuals and 19,000 families in 376 hotels.
Samusocial de Paris and PSA Peugeot Citroën began working together in 1997 when the Group provided light commercial vehicles for the first fleet of mobile assistance teams. The collaborative venture continued with the PSA Group handling the rental of vehicles used for night-time rounds. The PSA Peugeot Citroën Foundation took over responsibility for these efforts in 2011, strengthening support for Samusocial de Paris. The Foundation finances the leasing costs for the organisation’s vehicle fleet, takes part in night-time round operations and regularly lends the organisation a helping hand in its projects. And thanks to volunteer work from PSA staff, 100 driver days were provided to the organisation as part of a recent initiative focused on the hygiene of homeless people.
