The birth of a socially-responsible mobility platform
Pôle Transports Solidaires
The organisation is working to set up a socially-responsible mobility platform. The goal is to facilitate the autonomy and access to rights of people with social and professional integration difficulties by providing them with autonomous, motorised and affordable mobility resources. The platform will offer one-off and lasting solutions alike, depending on the need identified in the mobility assessment.
To start up its activity, the organisation would like to open a socially-responsible garage in first-half 2016. The garage will offer three types of service: vehicle repair, vehicle rental and used-vehicle sales. Its business model is mainly based on the donation of vehicles and the revenues generated by the abovementioned services. The Foundation is supporting the start-up of activity by financing the equipment.
